Artwork Requirements (Customer Uploads)

To ensure the highest print quality and accurate results, please carefully follow the artwork guidelines below when uploading your files to Patriot Stitch & Print Co.. Files that do not meet these requirements may result in reduced print quality.

Canvas Size

All artwork must be set to an exact canvas size of 13 inches × 18 inches. Designs should be arranged and scaled precisely as you want them printed. We do not resize or reposition artwork after upload.

Resolution

Artwork must be created at a minimum of 300 DPI at final print size. Lower-resolution files can appear blurry, pixelated, or unclear when printed. Customers are responsible for ensuring their artwork meets resolution requirements before uploading.

Accepted File Formats

We accept the following file formats:


  • PNG (preferred)

  • PDF

  • SVG

  • AI

Files should be flattened and print-ready. Editable or layered files may not process correctly.

Background Transparency

A transparent background is required unless a background is intentionally part of your design. Background colors or boxes that are not meant to print should be removed prior to upload.

Color Profile

All artwork should be created using the sRGB color profile. Other color profiles may result in unexpected color shifts during printing.

Text & Fonts

All text must be converted to outlines or curves. Editable fonts are not supported and may cause font substitution or errors during production.

White Ink Printing

If your design requires white ink, white must be included in the artwork itself. Transparent areas will not automatically print white unless white is present in the design.

Bleed Requirements

For full-coverage designs, add 0.125 inches of bleed where necessary to prevent unwanted edges or gaps during printing.

Gang Sheet Layout

When submitting gang sheets, arrange and size all designs exactly as you want them printed. Spacing, orientation, and sizing are the customer’s responsibility. No layout adjustments are made after upload.

Final Reminder

We print exactly what you upload. Please double-check sizing, spacing, spelling, resolution, and image quality before submitting your order. Uploaded files are sent directly into production.
Pressing Instructions

To achieve the best results and long-lasting durability, please follow the pressing instructions below when applying your DTF transfers from Patriot Stitch & Print Co.:


  • Temperature: Press at 285–305°F

  • Time: Apply heat for 10–15 seconds

  • Peel Type: Allow the transfer to cool completely, then peel the film slowly (cold peel)

  • Final Press: Perform a second press for 5–10 seconds using a protective sheet to lock in durability and improve wash resistance

Pressing conditions may vary slightly depending on heat press type, fabric, and pressure. Always test on a sample garment before full production.

  • Image Quality: Low-resolution artwork may appear blurry or pixelated when printed. Customers are responsible for ensuring artwork meets recommended resolution requirements before upload.

  • Color Variation: Colors displayed on screens may vary slightly from the final printed result due to screen calibration, materials, and printing processes.

  • Artwork Rights: By uploading artwork, the customer confirms they have full rights or permission to use the submitted designs. Patriot Stitch & Print Co. is not responsible for copyright or trademark violations related to customer-provided files.

For optimal results, use high-quality garments, proper pressure, and follow all recommended application steps. Incorrect pressing settings may affect adhesion, appearance, or durability.
